Hi there! I'm Sammy, a Product Designer passionate about creating intuitive experiences that solve real problems. I recently graduated from UW and have worked at Microsoft, Intuit, and Multiscale Technologies, where I'm currently designing AI-powered interfaces that help scientists build applications through natural language.
My fascination with art started ever since I was a child, when my grandma and mother gave me a paintbrush. I had always wanted to be an artist growing up but as I got older my keen interest in the latest technologies got me fascinated with visual design. So when I got to UW, I was set on becoming a design major to solely focus on Visual Communication Design. However, the introductory courses prompted a realization – I wanted my work to extend beyond aesthetics and make a tangible impact on society, positively influencing people's lives. This led to my discovery of UX design. Through immersive learning in HCI courses and earning a UX Design Certificate, I've cultivated the skills to craft practical, visually compelling solutions with a user-centric focus. As I anticipate the next steps in my UX journey, I am excited to contribute meaningfully to the intersection of design and human experience.
Dj 🎛
I’ve always had a passion for music, and last year I decided to pursue it by learning how to DJ. I’ve been mixing all kinds of music, but House and EDM are my favorites. I’m the DJ for my fraternity, and I’ve also mixed at various local events around UW, ranging from philanthropies to Bollywood parties. 🎧🎶
Photographer 📸
I love to go out on adventures and trips, photographing the journey every step of the way. The main cameras I use is a Nikon d90 and Fujifilm x100v, but as of late I have been shooting through 35mm film and my iPhone📱 (underrated camera)
